Have a wonderful week!
When Ms. Wright isn't teaching or updating our library, she is busy writing grants to keep the improvements happening. We'd love your feedback on what we've done so far and any suggestions on how we can help make the library more accessible to our community.

We have a short week this week with Thanksgiving Break! School will dismiss at 12:30 on Wednesday, November 27. Have a wonderful break.
With the arrival of winter weather, I'd like to remind you that our Transportation team will be up and running extra early on wintery school days to make sure the bus routes are safe. If there is a reason for delay or closure on a school day., we will communicate through Thrillshare, our website, and on our Facebook page, generally before 6:00 am. This ensures that parents, students, and staff have ample time to plan accordingly. We may make the decision to delay school by two hours. This delay may be made in order to allow additional time to monitor weather or allow for weather conditions to improve, road crews to plow and treat roads, allow our staff to clear parking lots, clear off sidewalks, sand or treat entryways, etc. A final decision to close school will be made by 8:00 a.m. if the start of school was initially delayed two hours.
Please send students to school in warm, layered, winter clothing and boots, as we continue to have outdoor recess unless it feels less than 15 degrees. If you need winter clothing or boots, please reach out. We are thankful for the community donations that we have available in Gabe's Garage.
Please update your contact information with us to receive timely notifications. You can contact our school office at 541-446-3336 if you have any questions or need to update your contact information.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We wish you a safe and enjoyable winter season.

Subject: Inclement Weather and School Closure Notification
Dear Burnt River Charter School Parents and Guardians,
At Burnt River Charter School, we take the safety and well-being of our students and staff seriously. As we approach the snowy months, we want to ensure that you are informed and prepared for any inclement weather conditions that may affect our school schedule.
Our school closely monitors weather conditions to make informed decisions about school closures. We work closely with our road department, bus drivers and other local authorities to ensure the safety of everyone in our school community.
Our bus drivers and I will start to monitor the weather in preparation for incoming storms. We will be out driving the roads, looking for maintenance, being particularly aware of hills and difficult places.
**How We Notify You**
We use multiple communication channels to keep you informed about school closures:
Phone Calls: We will send out automated phone calls to the primary contact number listed in our school records and then use our Emergency Call Tree.
Text Messages: Important updates will be sent via text messages to ensure timely communication.
School Website: You can check our school website for real-time updates and announcements.
Facebook: Live updates will be posted on Burnt River Charter School’s Facebook Page
**Follow Us on Social Media**
We encourage you to follow us on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We regularly update these channels with important school closure information, so make sure you're connected to stay informed.
**When Decisions Are Made**
We aim to make closure decisions as early as possible. Typically, we make these decisions in the morning, ideally by 5:30 am.
**Staying Prepared**
Staying informed is essential during inclement weather. We're committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our Burnt River Charter School community. Please update your contact information with us to receive timely notifications. You can contact our school office at 541-446-3336 or via email at cassie.moore@burntriversd.org if you have any questions or need to update your contact information.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We value your partnership in keeping our students safe during inclement weather. We wish you a safe and enjoyable winter season.
Sincerely,
Cassie Moore

anticipated the road will reopen Friday but that will depend upon the damage to the road once the
water recedes.
